Our refinishing or restoration process is a labor of love. We use only the best quality materials to bring your furniture back to life. We take special care to ensure that each piece is prepared and worked on with attention to detail. The best part is that restoration and paint in any color of your choice is included in the price. Each of our pieces go through a quality check before being listed on Shalom Furniture, we ensure that our pieces have great structure to withstand many more years of use, We triple check the functionality of our pieces to make sure they work and are consistent with their age. We also ensure to check all of our interiors by first cleansing them extensively, and conditioning them. Our refinishing process is tailored to each piece in order to give it the best possible finish.

What is our refinishing and restoration process?

Great question,

Our prepping for the refinishing process is a meticulous and precise set of steps that ensures the best results for our customers. We go the extra mile to make sure the original beauty of the piece is enhanced.
During refinishing we prep the surface, scuff sand, and fix dents or deep scratches that affect the charm and function of the piece(s) we then deep clean the pieces with a non-toxic solution used to clean, sanitize, and remove stains from various substrates by saponification, after drying we begin to paint (my favorite part!!) . We use several coats of paint that repels marks and keeps surfaces looking newly painted in high-traffic areas for extended periods, without the need for frequent cleaning and retouching ensuring your piece(s) will be used for many years to come!

For our restoration process, we prep the surface of the piece by scuff sanding to remove any major blemishes or scratches on the piece, we then use either refinishing and restoration oils or by customer's request stains followed by several layers of restoration waxes and/or topcoats in the finish of our customer's preference.

Finally, we inspect the piece(s) thoroughly to ensure it meets our high standards before sending it to your home.

Our Refinishing process for Shalom Furniture varies per piece and customer order.
Please note that our pieces are vintage and have been loved by a previous owner. Therefore, they may have subtle imperfections that are consistent with use and age, making them truly unique and special

Our products are handled with the upmost care we can give. We ensure that the product will leave our location in the condition described in the description.
* Since it is furniture, we know they are commonly used everyday. So we made sure to paint it and seal it to last several years of normal use! :)

How do you ship your items?

I use an amazing shipping service . Once an order is placed we contact the shipping company and talk personally to the person delivering your item. If you'd like to speak to the delivery person, I can maybe arrange that too.
** If you have any hesitations when it comes to shipping, let us know and we will try our best to solve the problem.

I put down a deposit on a piece , and I would like to cancel

Shalom furniture loves to work with our clients! We believe in helping our clients shop with (peace) shalom. If there is something about the piece you'd like to change we can discuss it, but we do not refund any deposits on any piece. So if you choose to cancel your purchase we understand! But there is no refund 💛

Custom and personalized orders

Alright! so with my custom order it does take a bit more time so i can have them ready to ship! but i usually get them done quickly :) message for more details! it always varies with the piece, and if you need the item by a certain date, i can definitely try my best to make it by then! Shalom!

I received my piece and it was damaged/scratched/broken

All items are shipped to you in the best possible packaging to ensure that you receive your purchase in good condition. Upon receipt, please inspect your package closely.
